Climbing season
You can enjoy climbing in Thailand at any time of year, but the peak rock climbing Thailand best season generally runs from October through March. During these months, the climate is typically dry and sunny with pleasantly cool nights. Since this is high season, expect more visitors and slightly higher prices for accommodation.
Many budget travelers and climbers choose to stay on Tonsai, where lodging is more affordable. From March to May, the heat and humidity intensify, especially midday, but tourist numbers begin to decline and accommodation rates drop as well.
The so-called rainy season doesn’t mean constant storms. In fact, showers are often scattered, leaving plenty of opportunities to climb. With fewer crowds, lower prices, and cooler conditions, this period can be perfect for those who don’t mind a bit of unpredictability. Just keep in mind: weather is never guaranteed, no matter the season!.
Because of climate change, the timing of the seasons has become less consistent and harder to predict. For reliable updates, check WindGuru and Windy.
